An interesting thing happened Sunday. We won our bowling league! I ended up being the fourth best bowler in the league too. Quite a day. O.K. here’s the rest of the story. It seems no one but us signed up for the league that started last Sunday night so we were the only team. Yes, our team has four members and if you do the math; yes that makes me the worst bowler on our team and the league. Although I like to think about it differently; my perception is my reality – so, we won!
I wonder how many other things in life I run though my perception? How many other perceived wins or loses are really quite the opposite. I know God is up to something in my life but too often I fail to trust and measure current circumstances by my perception. I don’t know if I am able to truly understand all the outcomes but I do know I’m called to trust. Trust is my choice. Some days easy and some days more a leap but still I can choose.
God is calling me to trust. Trust Him. Trust Him with Shelly, with my kids, with my job & ministry, my life. From my perspective I win when I trust.

From Ken Peterson’s paraphrase The Message: Now God has us where he wants us, with all the time in this world and the next to shower grace and kindness upon us in Christ Jesus. Saving is all his idea, and all his work. All we do is trust him enough to let him do it. (Ephesians 2)
